Lastevanemate liidu juht Aivar Haller ütleb, et pilt viinakäru lükkavatest lastest ajab nutma.”
Et keegi mulle sõnu suhu ei hakkaks panema, siis ma ei poolda kuidagi Läti alkoreise, ekstra alkoreisi ei hakkaks ma kunagi ette võtma, olen Lätis perepuhkusel ka käinud ja alkopoest mööda sõitnud, sest midagi ei olnud sealt vaja ja lihtsalt kokku kahmimise pärast ei hakanud ka soodsat alkoholi kokku kahmima, aga…Ma ei arva, et see nüüd maailma lõpp on kui inimesed Lätist alkoholi ostmas käivad. Norrakad käivad Rootsis ostmas, soomlased Eestis, eestlased Lätis. Seda on alati tehtud. Norras on isegi väljend “harrytur“, mis tähendab Rootsi odava toidu ja alkoholi järele reisi. Saage üle. Me käisime hiljuti Ida ja Marekiga Valga lähistel, eksisime ära ja sattusime ka Valga linna. Pärast kirusime end, et kuramus kui juba nii lähedal olime Lätile, oleks võinud ka oma saunaõlled sealt osta. Jäi ostmata, aga oleks see meist siis halvemad lapsevanemad teinud kui me oleks Idaga koos käinud alkoholipoes?
Lastevanemate liidu juht oleks meist pildi teinud, artikli kirjutanud uue aja traditsioonidest ja nutnud? See ajab teda nutma? Aga mitte see kui kohus ei pea vägistajaks oma kasutütre suguelundeid näperdavat meesterahvast? Mitte see, et keset päeva veab keegi metsa üheksa-aastase lapse? Mitte see, et iga viies laps elab vaesuses? On sotsiaalselt tõrjutud? See peaks teda nutma ajama. Jätke see jauramine nende alkoturistide kallal. Jätke see sildistamine, et Lätis käivad alkoholi ostmas vaid madala haridustasemega ossid. Nagu eelmisest postitusest võisite lugeda, siis ossid käivad hoopis saartel end välja elamas.
Lastevanemate liit nutku nende laste pärast, kelle vanemad on igapäevaselt nii purupurjus, et ei suuda Läti sõidu peale mõeldagi, võib olla nad ei tea, kus Läti ongi. Nutke nende laste pärast, kes elavad alkohoolikutest ja/või vägivaldsete vanematega, vaesuses ja tõrjutuses. Ärge olge f…g lumehelbekesed, kes saavad šoki sellest, et laps lükkab poekäru, milles on alkohol.

I was reading news in the morning and thinking to myself how hypocritical. “As was expected, sales of alcohol near the border of South-Estonia increased remarkably before Midsummer Day. It was unexpected though that in between the big loads of alcohol you could see many underage children helping their parents buying the booze. The head of Parents Union Aivar Halles says that seeing a child pushing a trolley full of alcohol, makes him want to cry.”
Just so no one starts putting words into my mouth, I DO NOT favor the booze trips to Latvia in any way. I would never drive there just for the alcohol. I have been to a family holiday to Latvia and driven past a shop as we didn’t need anything from there and there was no point in buying just for the sake of it … Yet I don’t think it is the end of the world if people do so. Norwegians drive to Sweden, Finns come to Estonia and Estonians go to Latvia for cheap alcohol. That’s how it’s always been. Norwegians even have a saying “harrytur” which means going to Sweden for cheap food and drinks. Get over it! We were near Valga recently with Ida and Marek, got lost a bit and ended up in the city center. After wards, we swore ourselves for being so close to Latvia, but not even buying beer for sauna. We didn’t, but would that have made us worse parents if we had gone to alcohol shop with Ida?
Would Mr. Halles have taken a photo of us and written an article of the modern traditions and then cried? THIS makes him cry? But not the fact, that court does not see a man, who touched his stepdaughter’s genitals, a rapist? Not the fact that somebody drags a 9-year old into the wood in the middle of the day? Not the fact that every fifth child is living in poverty? Is socially excluded? THAT should make him cry. Stop whining over the booze tourists. Stop saying that only people with low educational level drive to Latvia. These people live their frustration out in other places.
The Parents Union should cry for those children, whose parents are so drunk on daily basis, that they can’t even think about driving to Latvia, maybe they don’t even know where Latvia is. Cry for the children whose parents are drunks and violent, who live in poverty and exclusion. Stop being f*****g snowflakes, who get upset seeing a child pushing trolley where there is also alcohol in it.
