Mind ootab homme ees üsna pikk päev autosõiduga ja selleks, et end natukene säästa, otsustasin ma täna poolele teele ära tulla. See tähendas omakorda sobiva hinnaga hotelli leidimist Oslos. Kui natukene uurida ja otsida ja planeerida, siis leiab Oslos väga mõistliku hinnaga hotelle, kuid võib ka juhtuda (eriti suveperioodil) et midagi mõistlikku lihtsalt enam pole.
Tavaliselt ööbin ma Oslos ühes Bekkestuas asuvas airbnb korteris (hind ca 35 eur öö), kuid loomulikult oli see välja üüritud Õnneks leidsin ma hea pakkumise Comfort Hotel Xpress Youngstorget (https://www.choicehotels.com/norway/oslo/comfort-inn-hotels/no104) lehelt. Hind ca 70 eur/öö.
Hotell on suurepärase asukohaga. 10 minutit Oslo raudteejaamast jalutada, Oslo kesklinnas, nii et nii parlamendihoone, toomkirik, Karl Johan, ooperimaja ja kuningaloss on käe-jala juures. Tuba on ruumikas ja korralik, lihtsa sisustusega, kuid kõik vajalik on olemas. Kuna hotellis ei ole restorani, siis ainus miinus on see, et ei pakuta hommikusööki, samas on keldrikorrusel olemas mikrolaineahi ja veekeetja, et endale midagi ise süüa teha. Hotellis on olemas ka jõusaal, kuid nagu piltidelt näha, on erajõusaal olemas ka igas numbritoas;)
Samuti on keldrikorrusel olemas võimalused pesu pesemiseks ja triikimiseks. Lisaks lihtsalt ka mõnusad lebonurgad, kus raamatut lugeda. 9.korrusel asuv katuseterass on ilusa ilmaga vägagi ahvatlev. Ideaalne koht niisama chillimiseks.
Hotell on pigem suunatud nooremale reisijale, kes võib olla tahab ka õhtul teiste hotellikülastajatega koos aega veeta, aga keegi ei sunni sotsialiseeruma. Vanainimene saab vaikselt oma toas telekat vaadata. Lärmi pärast kartma ei pea.
Plusspunktid hotellile keskkonnasõbralikkuse ja teadlikkuse tõstmise eest.
If you are looking for a cool but affordable accommodation in Oslo I suggest you to check out Comfort Hotel Xpress Youngstorget. The prices start from ca 70 euros per night. Of course there is possible to get cheaper accommodations in dormitory, but if you are not the backpacker type and need some privacy, this may be the best price you get in Oslo center.
The location of the hotel is perfect – just 10 minutes walk from Oslo S and all the main toursit attractions in Oslo city are nearby. Karl Johan, parliament building, opera house, the Royal Castle.
Also the staff is very friendly and make you feel like at home at once you enter the hotel. I have once before stayed in this hotel 5 years ago and everything was the same then also. Very welcoming staff waiting for you. The check in is from 15, but I arrived an hour earlier. Without a problem I was allowed to check in. I guess this hotel is more meant for younger travelers – there are common chillaxing areas on rooftop terrace and ground floor, but also older travelers (like me) do not need to fear that it is too noisy or one needs to socialize with other guests. No one is forced to do anything. One can peacefully stay in own room and watch tv. And the double room is specious.
The only negative thing is perhaps the lack of restaurant and no breakfast, but a light breakfast bag can be bought in the reception. Also snacks and beverages. On the ground floor there is a micro wave, iron and washing machine. So basically everything you need for a successful stay is at your service.
